宇多田ヒカル – SCIENCE FICTION
On April 10, 2024, Japanese-American singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada’s first greatest hits album and fourth compilation album overall, Science Fiction, was released by Epic Records Japan and USM Japan. The album, which was released to mark the band’s 25th anniversary, is divided over two discs and has 26 tracks, including three original tracks, “Gold (Mata au Hi Made),” “Naniiro Demo Nai Hana,” and “Electricity,” as well as new mixes and rerecordings of their prior singles. In 2024, Utada will go on the Science Fiction Tour in support of the record.

Science Fiction debuted at the top of both the Billboard Japan Hot Albums and Oricon Albums Chart. In its first week of release, the album sold 171,882 copies, ranking as Utada’s twelfth best-selling album overall in Japan.
